Transparent Classroom activity and reporting records

Semester reports

The provision of semesterly reports is an opportunity to formally communicate a child’s progress to their families and can be a powerful tool for parents to engage with their children about their child’s learning. This is a sample report for a child that is in their third year in my class (click the image to access the full report). Parents have online access to their child’s reports for the duration of their time in the school, enabling them to review of their reports over time, providing a longitudinal view of their academic and social-emotional progress.

Daily activity records

Augmenting formal semesterly reports, parents are informed of their child’s everyday activities in class, with presentations received and practised, photographs and descriptions of their work, posted daily. Through these posts, parents are kept informed of their child’s engagement in learning activities in a timely manner. These records can also be viewed in a number of ways to analyse the child’s activity across the curriculum over time.
